Travel and Tour Information for the Pitcairn Island Marathon

Tour Information

We will use the Silver Supporter ship to take us to Pitcairn and return us to Mangareva, French Polynesia.

The Silver Supporter is the only ship that will stay at Botany Bay for 4 days.

Please note that the Silver Supporter is not a luxury cruise. It is a working freighter that supplies Pitcairn Island with supplies.

There are two possible tour arrangements

Option 1: 4 Day stay on Pitcairn Island

We take Voyage V181:

Depart Mangareva Tuesday, 14th July

Arrive Pitcairn Thursday, 16th July

Marathon July 18th

Depart Pitcairn Sunday 19th July

Arrive Mangareva Tuesday 21st July

This option can accommodate 12 runners, as the Silver Supporter has only 6 cabins for passengers (2 passengers per cabin).

V181 has already been reserved for the first 12 runners who register and pay their deposit.

Option 2: 18 Day stay on Pitcairn Island

If you want to stay longer on Pitcairn Island, or really want to run Pitcairn in 2026, but are not among the first 12, this is an option.

Voyage 180 – V180

Depart Mangareva Tuesday, 7th July 2026

Arrive Pitcairn Thursday, 9th July 2026

Voyage 182 – V182

Depart Pitcairn Sunday, 26th July 2026

Arrive Mangareva Tuesday, 28th July 2026

The cost for the travel and race will be the same, but the lodging costs will naturally be higher.

However, due to the accommodation capacity on the island, perhaps 4 persons could use this option.

Tour options include

Pitcairn Landing Fee

Accommodation price (4 day stay). Will adjust the overall tour price based on the lodging chosen. Will also adjust for anyone doing the 18 days stay

Ferry charge from airport to the main Island of Mangareva

Meals and snacks on the Silver Supporter

Meals in most accommodations

Entry to the museum is included in your Passport/Landing Fee.

Quad rentals are available on the island. For now, they will remain an option and separate from the tour price.

I will ask you via WhatsApp to give me your preferred roommate and second choice for a roommate for the Silver Supporter voyage. This is necessary. There are 6 cabins for 12 persons. Everyone will have to have a roommate.

Lodging Information

Accommodations on Pitcairn Island will be arranged for you. Several Homestays and Private Rentals are available. You need to indicate your first and second preference to me. I will ask you via WhatsApp. Accommodations cannot be booked without an official Silver Supporter voyage ticket. Therefore, we will manage this for you. However, feel free to browse the link below. I will need everyone to identify first and second choices for your accommodation and indicate whether you want to share a room and with whom. Please send me this information by email at info@tntmarathons.com, or through private WhatsApp message.

When you visit Pitcairn, you will be staying within a small but busy working community. Hosts will take great good care of you, however, please know they will also have to go carry out their daily routines – patience and respect will be appreciated.
